Green Bay Packers Set Dates For OTAs & Mandatory Minicamps

Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy announces the Packers’ selection of wide receiver Matthew Golden with the 23rd pick during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft

Football season is rapidly approaching, and NFL teams are actively preparing their rosters for the year ahead. The league has officially released the offseason workout program, providing a clear roadmap for the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers Offseason Schedule

The Packers officially kick off their offseason program on April 20. From this starting point, the team will progress through a highly structured, three-phase regimen designed to safely ramp up physical activity and strategic installation.

Phase One covers the first two weeks of the program. During this initial period, players focus entirely on meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation.

Phase Two spans the next three weeks. This phase allows the coaching staff to introduce on-field workouts. Players can begin running drills and practicing specific techniques, though live contact remains strictly prohibited.

Phase Three represents the final stretch before the summer break. Over a four-week period, teams can hold up to 10 days of Organized Team Activities (OTAs). This phase allows for comprehensive team practice, integrating offensive and defensive units in unpadded drills.

Official Dates for OTAs

The Packers will spread their 10 allotted OTA sessions across late May and the middle of June. These valuable practice days allow the coaching staff to evaluate roster depth and begin installing the 2026 playbook.

The official OTA dates are scheduled for:

  • May 26-27
  • May 29
  • June 1-2
  • June 4
  • June 15-16
  • June 18

Mandatory Minicamp and Rookie Preparation

Nestled between the scheduled OTA sessions, the Packers will hold their mandatory minicamp. This critical three-day window runs from June 9 through June 11. Unlike the voluntary OTAs, all rostered players must attend the mandatory minicamp.

Additionally, the organization will host a dedicated rookie minicamp shortly after the NFL Draft, which takes place from April 23 to 25. While the league will announce the exact dates for the rookie camp later, this session provides incoming draft picks and undrafted free agents their first real taste of professional football.

Looking Ahead to Training Camp

These organized spring sessions lay the critical foundation for the grueling months ahead. As the team works through these structured phases, fans and analysts alike will get their first glimpses of the 2026 roster. Keep an eye on local reports throughout May and June to see how the new draft picks integrate with the veteran core before the team breaks ahead of the official late-summer training camp.
