“Are you ready?” I said, “ARE YOU READY?” That’s right! Paul “Triple H” Levesque got the announcement that he would be headlining the Class of 2025 inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame! This will put the 14-time Heavyweight Champion in elite company, becoming a 2-time Hall of Famer. He was inducted in 2019 as a member of the controversial group Degeneration-X. He got the news in a Town Hall meeting where his wife, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker broke the news to the current Chief Operating Officer.
Triple H Career Accolades
Hunter Heart Helmsley has come a long way from his days as Terror Risin’ in World Championship Wrestling. Triple H is toward the top of the list when it comes to Heavyweight Championships with 14. He has also held the Intercontinental Championship five times, the European Championship two times, the Tag-Team Champion three times, and he is a two-time Royal Rumble match winner in 2002 and 2016. In 1997, Hunter was able to capture the King of the Ring, which is typically used to elevate superstars into the main event picture.
Triple H was a founding member of the legendary group Degeneration-X with best friends Shawn Michaels and Chyna. He then took the comical group of misfits to a whole other level when becoming the leader. Feuding with The Rock and Nation of Domination set Triple H apart from the others.
He would then go on to have one of the most memorable storylines in wrestling history when he had an onscreen relationship with Owner Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie that turned into a real-life marriage between the two. He would then mentor a young Randy Orton and Batista when joining Ric Flair, creating the group Evolution. Then extended his career to the days of The Shield.
Contribution To the Business
Triple H was partly responsible for the creations of DX and Evolution, but he also had his hands in much more. As a member of The Authority with wife Stephanie, they elevated the career of Seth Rollins. The NXT brand was Hunter’s baby for the longest time, which fans could argue was better than the flagship shows at times. He is now the COO of the company and head of creative since Vince McMahon’s departure. You can see his name listed as Executive Producer at the end of every Monday Night Raw on Netflix and Friday Night Smackdown!
Final Thoughts
It would be hard to find someone more deserving of the Hall of Fame than “The Game.” Triple H went from Terror Risin’ to Hunter Hearst Helmsley to Triple H to “The Game” to the COO of WWE. He is the definition of the wrestling business and is taking WWE to even bigger heights.
The master of the Pedigree and the sledgehammer’s best friend will become a 2-time Hall of Famer! When it is all said and done, he may even become a three-time inductee with Evolution being inducted one day. Hunter may still have “Two words for ya,” but we have three words for you as well: Hall of Fame!
