The Philadelphia Eagles and Linebacker Joshua Uche agreed to a 1-year deal on Thursday morning. Uche is coming off a 2024 season where he spent time with the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs. He was acquired by the Chiefs midway through the season. Uche had 23 tackles last season and 2 sacks. He did not appear in the NFL Playoffs for Kansas City. How will Uche play for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025?
Philadelphia Eagles Offseason Outlook
Following a great regular season that culminated in a Super Bowl LIX win, the Philadelphia Eagles have seen their defense gutted. The team’s defense dominated the Kansas City Chiefs and Quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
A few marquee players Philadelphia will be without in 2025 are Linebacker Josh Sweat, Defensive Tackle Milton Williams, and Cornerback Darius Slay. Defensive End Brandon Graham also retired following the Super Bowl win. Even though the team re-signed All-Pro Linebacker Zach Baun, Philadelphia’s defense has taken a step back this offseason.
Final Thoughts
Uche will look to fill the voids left by Philadelphia’s departures this offseason. He is entering a great situation as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia is arguably the two best organizations in the NFL. He will look to provide a veteran presence to a team that will be younger than it was last season.
