Philadelphia Eagles Defensive End Brandon Graham Set To Return

Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles Defensive End Brandon Graham has been activated by the team on the heels of Super Bowl LIX. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice which made him eligible to play in tomorrow’s game. Graham has been sidelined since November 24 with a triceps injury. He had 20 total tackles and 3.5 sacks during the regular season.

The veteran was not shy about saying he was doing everything he could to become healthy enough to return for a playoff run. With the Philadelphia Eagles advancing to the Super Bowl, he will have a chance to play in his final career game. How will he and the Philadelphia Eagles fare?

Philadelphia Eagles Defense Has a Tough Task

Graham returns to an Eagles defense which was the league’s best during the regular season, and has been a turnover factory in the NFL Playoffs. The Eagles defense has forced a whopping 10 turnovers during their run through the NFC. Philadelphia will face a tough test against a Kansas City Chiefs offense which is battle tested. Even though the offense has not been as strong as in years past, they have the pedigree to strike fear in the opposition.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will look to win his fourth career Super Bowl and try to build on the offense’s strongest performance of the season in the AFC Championship Game. Following such an extended absence, Graham is not expected to be on the field for many snaps. He will play sparingly in the hope that he could come up with a big play or two swinging the game in Philadelphia’s favor.

Final Thoughts

Graham is no stranger to the Super Bowl as tomorrow will be his third one. He did not record any stats when these teams played in Super Bowl LVII but had two tackles and a sack when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Graham will try do something tomorrow professional athletes dream of. End their career with a championship. After working so hard to get back for the Super Bowl, he will look to end his career on a high note.
