CeeDee Lamb Lands at No. 55 on NFL Top 100 Despite Statistical Dip

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb remains one of the NFL’s elite playmakers, even after a noticeable drop in the latest NFL Top 100 rankings.

Lamb checked in at No. 55 on this year’s list, falling 20 spots from his previous ranking. While that decline will grab headlines, it says more about changes in the Cowboys’ offense than any decline in Lamb’s ability.

The star receiver is still firmly among the league’s premier pass-catchers and continues to be a cornerstone of Dallas’ offense.

George Pickens Changed the Dynamic For CeeDee Lamb

One of the biggest reasons for Lamb’s statistical decline in 2025 was the arrival of George Pickens.

After joining the Cowboys, Pickens quickly emerged as a major weapon and demanded a significant share of the targets in Dallas’ passing attack. With another legitimate No. 1-caliber receiver on the field, Lamb naturally saw decreases in receptions, yards, touchdowns, and overall opportunities.

That doesn’t mean he became less effective.

In many ways, Lamb benefited from defenses being unable to focus exclusively on stopping him. The result was a more balanced Cowboys passing game, even if Lamb’s individual numbers weren’t quite as gaudy as previous seasons.

Still Producing Like an Elite Receiver

Despite playing only 14 games, Lamb still finished with 1,077 receiving yards.

That total ranked 11th in the entire NFL and extended one of the most impressive streaks in franchise history. Lamb has now surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in five consecutive seasons, joining Cowboys legend Michael Irvin as the only players in team history to accomplish that feat.

That’s remarkable consistency. While some receivers fluctuate from year to year depending on circumstances, Lamb continues to produce at a high level regardless of changes around him.

Cowboys Still View Him as WR1

The most important takeaway from Lamb’s ranking is that nobody around the league views him as anything less than a true No. 1 receiver.

Dak Prescott still relies heavily on him in critical moments, and opposing defenses continue to structure game plans around slowing him down.

The addition of Pickens created plenty of debate about who Dallas’ top receiver might be. However, Lamb’s place on the NFL Top 100 reinforces the respect he still commands throughout the league.

Even after a “down” season by his standards, he remains one of football’s most dangerous offensive weapons.

Another Big Season Could Be Coming

There’s also a chance Lamb’s role expands again in the near future.

Pickens is currently playing under a franchise tag and could leave in free agency after the season. If that happens, Lamb would once again become the clear focal point of the Cowboys’ passing attack.

For now, Dallas is enjoying the luxury of having two star receivers. And while Pickens may have impacted Lamb’s numbers, he hasn’t changed how the league views him.

A 20-spot drop on the NFL Top 100 may seem significant, but No. 55 doesn’t diminish what Lamb has become. He’s still a five-time Pro Bowler, still producing 1,000-yard seasons, and still one of the most important players on a Cowboys team with championship aspirations.

If history is any indication, another big year is right around the corner.
