Boisson Adana final: How the match unfolded

Boisson controlled the opening set 6-3, but Andreeva, ranked 213th, answered by taking the second 4-6. Boisson then reset and won the decider 6-2 to reach the final.

Boisson entered the tournament as a lucky loser from qualifying and is ranked 274th. She has won four straight matches, including a 6-0, 6-1 quarterfinal win over No. 2 seed Anna Blinkova on Oct. 1. Read our earlier report on her win over Blinkova.

What is next for Boisson

Boisson will play for the title Sunday against the winner of the other semifinal between top seed Antonia Ruzic and fourth-seeded Léolia Jeanjean. It is her second WTA 125 final. Her only title at that level came in Saint-Malo two years ago.

A win in Adana would be the first hard-court title of her career and would lift her to about 230th in the rankings, Tennis Temple reported.
