Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill was in a domestic dispute with his wife this past Monday. The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department responded to a call at a high-rise condominium just before 2 p.m. following a report of an “assault in progress.” Police spoke with Hill, his wife Keeta Hill, and her mother Alesia Vaccaro when they arrived.
Tyreek Hill Described As ‘Aggressive’
Vaccaro told officers she has been living with the couple since the birth of her granddaughter last November. She explained to the police that she feared for her daughter’s safety. She reported that she witnessed Hill throw a laptop on the floor, then grab his daughter and head towards the 35th-floor balcony of their home.
Keeta Hill explained to police that the couple had been attending therapy, but it was not working. “He becomes angry and throws objects around,” the police report states. Mrs Hill also told officers she is in the process of filing for divorce. Hill admitted to police that he grabbed the baby, stating “I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want.”
Latest Incident After Trade Request
This is not the first off-the-field issue for Tyreek Hill. Last February, Sophie Hall, a social media influencer, filed a lawsuit accusing Hill of breaking her right leg during a football drill at his mansion last summer. Hill also received a traffic citation right before a game in Week 1 of last season following an altercation with police. The charges were later dismissed when the charging officer failed to appear.
The former Kansas City Chief has made multiple trade requests this offseason following controversial comments about his teammates after the last game of the 2024 season. Hill apologized in private and public to Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his teammates. He is currently undergoing physical therapy for a torn ligament in his wrist.
Final Thoughts
It is never great to hear about these types of off-field stories. Hopefully, everything works out for the best for everyone in the Hill family. This will hurt Tyreek Hill’s trade value and may shorten the list of teams willing to trade for the controversial wide receiver. There is a chance that Miami and Head Coach Mike McDaniel just outright cut Hill. He has been a near-constant headache for the front office and a distraction to his teammates. It will be interesting to see the caliber of team he lands on this offseason.
