Three, two, one, cue the buzzer! The Men’s Royal Rumble match may be the most anticipated event of the year. The Road to Wrestlemania starts here. The winner punches their ticket to the biggest stage of them all to headline against the World Champion of their choosing. Gunther or Cody Rhodes will have their hands full, taking on the winner of the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. This may have been the biggest Rumble ever when it comes to former world champions and future WWE Hall of Famers in it. The field included Roman Reigns, CM Punk, John Cena, Penta, Logan Paul, and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Out of this star-studded stacked match “Main Event” Jey Uso would be victorious!
Royal Rumble
Every year, there are shocks, surprises, and returns that the WWE Universe looks forward to! John Cena began his “Farewell Tour,” entering at number 23. Carmelo Hayes decided to put a hit on Akira Tozawa, forcing Paul “Triple H” Levesque to make a quick decision, having YouTube streamer Speed enter in place at number 8. There was a big pop for the returning AJ Styles, who the WWE Universe hasn’t seen in some time! CM Punk eliminated two of the three members of The Shield at the same time but then got eliminated by Logan Paul.
Logan Paul, John Cena, and “Main Event” Jey Uso were the last three standing. The 16-time World Champion would eliminate the YouTube sensation-turned-sports-entertainer Logan Paul, leaving himself against Uso. Cena and Uso battled it out on the edge of the apron. Who would win??? The suspense was killing the WWE Universe. Jey would eliminate the legend John Cena not only to shock the world but to win the match! Jey was able to celebrate emotionally with the crowd, who was heavily involved with the superstar’s entrance.
Final Thoughts
“Main Event” Jey Uso cemented his legacy by winning the 2025 Royal Rumble! It is finally someone who truly deserves a push. This has just elevated Jey into main event status! John Cena, Roman Reigns, or CM Punk did not need to win this match to get to their Wrestlemania stories. I am glad Jey Uso was able to live out his dream as a singles wrestler and now gets to take on his choice between Gunther and Cody Rhodes. Could Jey redeem himself against Gunther or does he challenge his former partner to bring the title back to the Bloodline? As your theme song says “It’s Just you Uce!” Congrats to Jey Uso!
