WWE confirmed the Royal Rumble 2027 date and venue on Monday, announcing that the 40th annual Royal Rumble will take place Saturday, Feb. 6, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, according to WWE.com. The event opens the road to WrestleMania 43, with the winners of the 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches earning championship opportunities at that show in April.
The announcement locks in the first major date on WWE‘s early 2027 schedule and marks the third time Arizona has hosted the event, following Royal Rumble editions there in 2013 and 2019, according to Bleacher Report.
Date And Venue Details
The Royal Rumble 2027 date and venue announcement sets the Premium Live Event for Feb. 6 at State Farm Stadium, the Glendale venue that has hosted two previous Royal Rumbles. This will be only the second time in the event’s 40-year history that it has been staged in February, with the vast majority of prior editions held in January.
The card will be headlined by the traditional 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches. As has been the format since the women’s Royal Rumble was introduced, both winners move on to face world champions at WrestleMania 43 in April.
Royal Rumble Weekend Schedule
WWE will stage additional programming in the Glendale area the night before the main event. Desert Diamond Arena is set to host Friday Night SmackDown and AAA’s Road to Rey de Reyes on Friday, Feb. 5, giving fans in the market two nights of WWE and AAA programming tied to Royal Rumble weekend.
Tickets And Where To Watch
General presale for Royal Rumble tickets opens Tuesday, Nov. 17, at noon ET (10 a.m. MST). Tickets go on public sale the following day, Wednesday, Nov. 18, at noon ET (10 a.m. MST local) through SeatGeek.com.
Royal Rumble will stream exclusively on the ESPN App in the United States for subscribers to the ESPN Unlimited plan, while international fans will see the event on Netflix. The streaming arrangement mirrors the distribution model WWE has used for its other recent Premium Live Events.
Arizona’s Multi-Year Events Deal
The Glendale date comes out of a broader partnership WWE struck with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global for the event. That relationship traces back to May, when TKO Group Holdings, the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance and Legends Global announced a multi-year agreement covering a seven-event slate across three years that spans UFC, WWE, PBR and Zuffa Boxing. Royal Rumble 2027 is part of that package, giving Arizona a guaranteed return engagement with WWE’s flagship January-or-February show.
That arrangement also explains why Arizona, rather than a new market, landed the 40th edition of an event WWE treats as the formal start of its WrestleMania build. Glendale’s track record with the 2013 and 2019 Royal Rumbles made it a proven host for a show that draws heavy travel and ticket demand months in advance.

The next confirmed date on the Royal Rumble weekend calendar is Friday, Feb. 5, when SmackDown and AAA’s Road to Rey de Reyes air from Desert Diamond Arena. The Royal Rumble itself follows Saturday, Feb. 6, with ticket presale opening Nov. 17 and general sale beginning Nov. 18. Winners of both Rumble matches will carry their title opportunities into WrestleMania 43 in April.
