Breaking News: Buffalo Bills Keon Coleman To Have MRI On Wrist

Keon Coleman to have MRI on wrist injury suffered yesterday.

Buffalo Bills rookie Wide Receiver Keon Coleman will have tests today to determine the severity of his wrist injury, according to multiple sources. His status for Week 10 will be something Bills Mafia and fantasy owners will need to monitor throughout the week.

Keon Coleman To Have An MRI

The Buffalo Bills Keon Coleman will have MRI’s today to determine the severity of his wrist injury. The injury happened late in the fourth quarter when former Buffalo Bills Safety Jordan Poyer collided with Coleman while attempting to defend a deep pass throw by Josh Allen. Poyer was flagged for unnecessary roughness. Initially, many thought that Coleman’s injury could be a head injury after Poyer’s helmet collided with Coleman’s helmet in a bang-bang play. The Bills were able to march down the field and kick the game-winning 61-yard field goal thanks to Tyler Bass.

Next Man Up

Keon Coleman finished the day catching one of two targets for 21 yards against the Miami Dolphins. He has flashed the last two weeks and built a connection with Allen, with 195 yards and one touchdown. With Coleman out, the Bills will turn to disappointing off-season addition Curtis Samuel. While Samuel is battling his own injuries, he played yesterday against the Miami Dolphins. He did not catch his lone target. The Bills wide receiver room is looking depleted after losing Amari Cooper to a wrist injury last week and Keon Coleman this week.

With the NFL Trade Deadline approaching, Buffalo could be in the market for another wide receiver. Available options include K.J. Osborn and Los Angeles Rams standout Cooper Kupp. The team has also used two practice squad elevations on WR Tyrell Shavers and WR Jalen Virgil. Both players have one more week of eligibility before they would have to become members of the 53-man roster.

Final Thoughts

The Buffalo Bills will travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts this Sunday at 1:00 PM. Buffalo will hope to get back a pair of players who missed Week 9 in WR Amari Cooper and lockdown CB Christian Benford. It will be interesting to see the severity of Coleman’s injury. If the Bills place Coleman on injured reserve, many expect Buffalo to go after another wide receiver at the deadline. Could a player such as Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen be on the move? We will continue to update you on the status of Keon Coleman as more details emerge.
