Buffalo Bills’ Amari Cooper and Christian Benford Inactive

The Buffalo Bills will be without Wide Receiver Amari Cooper and Cornerback Christian Benford today against the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo will turn to two players who have disappointed at times but can change the outcome of their careers if they have big days today.

Amari Cooper Inactive

The Buffalo Bills will be missing two significant starters today against the Miami Dolphins. Wide Receiver Amari Cooper suffered a wrist injury that limited him in practice. Amari Cooper arrived at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, with a brace around his left wrist, according to multiple reports. The team will now turn to disappointing offseason addition Curtis Samuel, rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman, and third-year leader Khalil Shakir. Buffalo also elevated Wide Receiver Jalen Virgil from the practice squad for today’s game.

Christian Benford Inactive

On the other side of the ball, Buffalo will be without star Cornerback Christian Benford. Benford was a full participant in practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday and Friday. Buffalo’s defense will be going up against two superstar wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The franchise will turn to their former first-round pick, Kaiir Elam. Elam is a proven press-man coverage cornerback who is capable of handling the duties.

Final Thoughts

The Buffalo Bills will have their hands full today against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins haven’t won in Buffalo since 2016. With Tua Tagovailoa returning, and the team hungry for a push towards a playoff run, Buffalo needs to start strong to defeat the South Florida franchise. The Bills will rely on their run game today, led by James Cook and Ray Davis. It will be important for the Bills to have long sustained drives for them to limit Tua’s opportunities to put up points. While losing Amari Cooper and Christian Benford is huge, Buffalo will turn to a next-man-up mentality.
