WNBA star Angel Reese recently reacted to Houston Rockets star Tari Eason wearing one of her signature Reebok shoes. Eason, 24, will be a name to watch this NBA season — not just for his shoe choices, but also his ability to lead the Rockets and contribute to their success.
Angel Reese Reacts to Houston Rockets Star Wearing Her Shoes
Tari Eason had a bounce-back game while wearing Reese’s signature “Mebounds” colorway — one of three colorways released on September 18. Eason finished the Houston Rockets vs. Brooklyn Nets game with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in a 137-109 win at Toyota Center.
Eason’s performance was an attention-grabbing one that caught Reese’s attention. Reese posted on X, formerly Twitter, “MEBOUNDS LOOK FIRE!” The 22-year-old also tagged the Rockets forward in the post.
Reese’s Reaction Amplifies Attention To Rockets Star
Before the bounce-back game, Eason had just seven points on 3-of-11 shooting through his first two games with the Rockets. Eason’s groove reappeared in the Rockets vs. Nets game. The 24-year-old had his first 20-point performance since March 21.
The Rockets were ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s preseason NBA power rankings, and have picked up the pace in recent days. Houston dropped its first two games by less than five points each, but finally got in the win column on Monday.
Final Thoughts
The Rockets are looking for their second straight win on Wednesday night. It will be the Rockets against the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. It is likely a win for the Rockets, as the Raptors’ defense was exposed by the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, but we’ll see what happens.
