Sports Equinox 2026 will happen tonight. There is a Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. The NBA and NHL are playing. MLB’s World Series Game 3 is tonight. There is even a WNBA Championship Game 5 tonight. This is the only day in the year when all four major sports in the United States are playing.
This article will preview each of the games and will also tell the reader when the games are and how to watch them. We will include the WNBA game because game 5 of a 7-game series is so pivotal. In all, that makes 5 different leagues playing tonight in the Sports Equinox 2026. Are you planning on watching these games?
Sports Equinox 2026
The Sports Equinox 2026 features all four major sports in the United States playing at the same time. The WNBA Finals even has a key game tonight. This article will start with that.
WNBA
The WNBA Finals Game 5 is tonight. The Golden State Valkyries are playing the Las Vegas Aces. The series is tied at two games each, so tonight’s game is important. The game will start at 8 pm and be on the USA Network. The game can also be accessed on CNBC and can be viewed on Peacock as well. There is drama here; the Aces are the defending champions, and they have won three of the last four championships. The WNBA is typically not part of a sports equinox, but for the Sports Equinox 2026, it is a bonus.
NBA
The men are also playing basketball; this is a formal part of the Sports Equinox 2026. There are 9 games tonight. At 7 p.m. Eastern, the Wizards are playing at the Hornets, and the Timberwolves are playing at the Cavaliers. At 7:30, the Mavericks take on the Heat, and the Bulls travel to the Celtics. At 8 pm the Pacers travel to the Bucks, and the Suns play at the Thunder. At 8:30, the Hawks visit the Rockets, and at 9 pm the Grizzlies play at the Jazz. Finally, at 10 pm the Warriors are playing at the Nuggets.
Those games are on multiple networks, so consult your local listings. However, NBA TV has the Dallas and Miami game at 8 pm. The NBA games are usually on ESPN, but they are not tonight because of the Monday Night Football Game.
NFL
There is a Monday Night Football game between the NFC East rivals Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. This is the second part of the Sports Equinox 2026. A story to watch in this game is the blood clots that are keeping Philadelphia starting quarterback Jalen Hurts out of the lineup. News broke today that the NFL Players Association is going to investigate why he was allowed to travel to London with those clots. He is not the only member of the Eagles who is missing; they are hurting. That game will be on ESPN and ABC at 8 pm.
NHL
The third part of the Sports Equinox 2026 is NHL. There are only three games tonight, so it is a light night in the NHL. The Kings are visiting the Rangers at 7 pm. This game is on the NHL Network. The Maple Leafs are visiting the Flames at 8:30. Finally, the Red Wings are playing the Oilers at 9:30 pm. These last two games can be best viewed on NHL Center Ice, though the NHL Network will have updates.
MLB
Game three of the World Series is tonight at 8 pm. It is on Fox and is the fourth part of the Sports Equinox 2026. This is an important game because the Brewers are leading the Rays two games to zero. Only one baseball team has come back from a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series in baseball, so the Rays need to win this game.
Conclusion: Sports-a-poluza
If you are a sports junkie, tonight is for you. This is a one-time occurrence in the year; it will not happen again un until 2027. The Sports Equinox 2026 features a bonus of the WNBA having a key finals game. The Sports Equinox always happens in October and always includes, like tonight, a World Series game.
