What Happened To Will Shipley
Shipley was stuffed on a carry in the second quarter and was checked by trainers on the field. He then made a brief trip to the blue medical tent before heading to the locker room, NBC Sports reported. He was officially ruled out with a foot injury, and no further details on the diagnosis or a timeline for his return have been reported.
Philadelphia’s Week 5 injury list extended beyond its backfield. Linebacker Jalyx Hunt was ruled out with an ankle and knee injury, and defensive back Michael Carter II was ruled out with an abdominal injury, according to NFL.com.
Who Replaces Shipley In The Backfield

That shortage follows an earlier move up the depth chart for Shipley himself. The Eagles previously turned to him for a larger workload after Tank Bigsby went down with an injury, putting Shipley in line for more carries before his own injury Sunday.
Shipley’s Role This Season
Shipley rushed for 6 yards and one touchdown on five carries and caught one pass for 7 yards before the injury.
What’s Next
The Eagles face Jacksonville in Week 6. Shipley’s status for that game will be updated in the team’s injury report during the week.
