The Washington Commanders and Wide Receiver K.J. Osborn agreed on a 1-year deal Thursday afternoon. He is coming off the worst season of his career with the New England Patriots in 2024. He had 7 receptions for 57 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. In Osborn’s first career season outside of the Minnesota Vikings, he struggled mightily. Will the veteran wide receiver be able to get on track with the Washington Commanders in 2025?
Washington Commanders Offseason Outlook
The Commanders have been one of the league’s most active teams this offseason following a surprising run to the NFC Championship Game. Washington acquired two marquee players this offseason. They traded for Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel and Offensive Lineman Laremy Tunsil. They also re-signed Linebacker Bobby Wagner and Tight End Zach Ertz. They also signed Defensive Tackle Javon Kinlaw.
Osborn joins a group of pass-catchers that is one of the league’s most formidable. It includes Terry McLaurin, Samuel, and Ertz. The offense will have the opportunity to be even better in 2025 with Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels looking to improve in his sophomore season.
Final Thoughts
Osborn will provide depth to the Commanders offense in 2025. The team’s moves this offseason illustrate the team’s desire to win a Super Bowl sooner rather than later. Washington has done a great job surrounding Daniels with veteran talent as he looks to lead the team to sustained success.
