UL Monroe vs South Alabama key matchup: the run defense
The biggest question for the Jaguars is stopping the run. Kentucky gained 390 yards on the ground last week, and coach Major Applewhite said afterward that his team “did not execute well.”
UL Monroe will try to take advantage under third-year coach Bryant Vincent. South Alabama’s offense has leaned on its backs, with Martin, Phillips and Dunbar combining for 653 rushing yards and eight touchdowns through four games.
