The Tyreek Hill trial moved into its second day Wednesday in a Florida courtroom, with cross-examination of his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro, scheduled to resume after she spent Tuesday detailing a series of alleged assaults during their marriage. The civil assault-and-battery case is tied to the couple’s divorce proceedings, which Vaccaro filed in April 2025.

What Happened In Court

Vaccaro, the sister of former Saints and Titans safety Kenny Vaccaro, testified Tuesday about multiple incidents she said occurred during her relationship with Hill, according to Yahoo Sports. She described an incident on Jan. 10, 2024, in which she said Hill threatened divorce during an argument over a postnuptial agreement, then grabbed her necklace, put his hands around her neck and twisted her breasts before wrestling her onto a bed. She testified she photographed marks on her chest afterward and said the episode terrified her.

She also testified about a January 2024 trip to Orlando for a 7-on-7 tournament, saying Hill told her he would cheat and wanted a divorce, then the next morning threw her clothes from a suitcase, broke her computer and tried to remove her wedding ring when he found her packing to leave. Police responded but no charges were filed. Vaccaro said a similar confrontation on Jan. 30, 2024, ended with Hill throwing her luggage and then her physically out of the house, and she alleged he shoved an unlit cigar butt into her mouth.

According to ESPN, Vaccaro grew emotional describing a July 2024 incident at ESPN’s Bristol, Connecticut headquarters, while she was pregnant, saying Hill attempted to punch her in the stomach. “If I didn’t block it, it would just hit me,” she testified. She said Hill also told her during that encounter that he did not want the baby and ripped out some of her hair, and she called it probably the worst of the alleged incidents.

Vaccaro further testified that Hill shoved her into a car door and told her to get out during a May 1, 2024 drive home, and that he threatened to hurt her or have friends do so during a May 15, 2024 car argument while she was on the phone with her mother. She also described a Nov. 24, 2024 incident in which she said Hill yelled at her and spit in her face after she had not prepared his pregame outfit. “He just hawked it up and spit straight into my mouth,” she testified, adding that she went into labor the following day.

Nanny Cam Evidence

The New York Post reported that nanny cam audio and video from an April 7, 2025 argument at the couple’s Miami condominium were introduced as evidence. The Miami judge overseeing the case did not allow reporters to broadcast the footage or audio. Vaccaro testified the dispute, which began with Hill punching and throwing her computer, moved into their infant daughter’s bedroom while the child slept.

Audio played in court captured Vaccaro screaming “Stop! Stop! Help!

Help!” and Hill telling her, “You don’t scare me, bro! You ain’t nothing but a broke bitch! I don’t need you in my life!

What’s wrong with you!?” The recording also captured Hill going to the crib and picking up the baby while Vaccaro shrieked and her mother, who was present, asked him to leave her alone.

Hill’s Response

Hill has denied the allegations detailed during Vaccaro’s testimony. His attorneys sought to portray Vaccaro as motivated by financial gain in pursuing the civil case, in which she is seeking punitive and compensatory damages. Vaccaro filed for divorce in April 2025, a day after police responded to a report of an alleged assault in progress at the couple’s Florida home; Hill was not charged in that incident.

The claims add to a legal history that includes a 2014 arrest in Oklahoma, when Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation against a then-pregnant girlfriend and received three years of probation. He was also investigated in March 2019 after his three-year-old son suffered a broken arm, though no charges were filed in that case.

League And Career Status

NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy told ESPN the allegations against Hill remain “under review of the personal conduct policy.” Hill, 31, is a free agent recovering from a dislocated kneecap and multiple torn ligaments suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 season, an injury that led the Miami Dolphins to release him in February 2026. His agent told ESPN that Hill could sign with a team in the coming days, with a possible reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs among the scenarios discussed. Chiefs quarterback Russell Wilson said on CBS Sports’ “Set Hut” that Kansas City should bring in Hill for a workout, according to CBS Sports.

What’s Next

Tuesday’s proceedings wrapped around 5 p.m. ET, and cross-examination of Vaccaro is scheduled to resume Wednesday morning. No rulings or additional testimony beyond that scheduling detail have been reported from the trial’s second day.
