The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed a two-year $6 million deal on Tuesday. He has been one of the league’s best punters since being drafted in the seventh round in 2016. He is coming off a solid 2024 campaign with the Denver Broncos. He was third in the league in punts last season and sixth in the league in punts being downed inside the 20. Will he have success in 2025 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offseason Outlook
Dixon joins a Buccaneers offense that may not be punting much this upcoming season. They had one of the best offenses in the league last season. Tampa Bay punted only 50 times last season which was the fourth-lowest total in the league.
The Buccaneers are looking to build upon a great regular season that ended in the Wild Card Round against the Washington Commanders. They re-signed Wide Receiver Chris Godwin on a team-friendly deal, retained Linebacker Lavonte David, and signed Defensive End Haason Reddick.
Final Thoughts
Tampa Bay has upgraded its team in all three phases this offseason. After making the NFL Playoffs in five straight seasons, they are poised to be even better in 2025. They signed one of the league’s best punters. Dixon will boost the squad’s special teams.
