Because no segment is complete without a towering Austrian disrespecting everyone in sight, Gunther barged in to berate Green and demand Aldis fix his own grievances. That brought out Matt Cardona to play the protector—only to get brutally chopped down to reality. Cardona sneaked in a low blow and a Rough Ryder for a split-second near-fall, but Gunther answered with a pair of soul-crushing powerbombs and a Boston Crab for the tap-out.
The MFT Clashes and Claims the Tag Team Titles
In a wild, three-way tag team chaotic brawl, the WWE Tag Team Championships found a new home. Damian Priest & R-Truth and The War Raiders went to war with The MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga), and the action turned Gillette-arena levels of violent fast.
After Priest was driven into the outer barricades and Truth tried to rally the crowd with an Attitude Adjustment counter, Tama Tonga flipped the script. The MFT hit Brother’s Keeper on R-Truth to secure the pinfall, taking the tag titles and leaving the rest of the division scrambling for answers. Jacy Jayne Snags Gold as Tiffany Stratton Collapses
The Women’s United States Championship scene got flipped upside down on Smackdown. Tiffany Stratton found herself on the receiving end of a beatdown when she tried to intervene during Nia Jax and Lash Legend’s confrontation with Chelsea Green.
That distraction proved fatal later in the night. Jacy Jayne capitalized on the chaos, putting away a compromised Stratton via pinfall to capture the Women’s U.S. Title. Jayne’s victory immediately shifts the balance of power on Friday nights, leaving Stratton searching for answers after a brutal evening. Fatal Influence on the other hand are sitting on top the whole mid card scene with the Women’s Tag Title and US Title now in the group who will stop them?
CM Punk and Kevin Owens Turn Up the Personal Heat
Heading into their championship clash, CM Punk and Kevin Owens didn’t bother hiding their genuine disdain for each other. Owens—fresh off returning from neck surgery—called out Punk’s decades-long track record of backstage behavior, claiming he could never respect the guy.
Punk dismissed KO’s grievances as ancient history and mocked him for living in the past, asking if Owens would have ever main-evented WrestleMania if Punk hadn’t walked away. Owens fired right back with his Universal Championship resume and his match against Stone Cold Steve Austin.
