After eyeing Fox for a few weeks, the San Antonio Spurs have found the player they want to pair with franchise cornerstone Victor Wembanyama for years to come. Fox joins a Spurs team on the rise. San Antonio is 21-25 and two games out of the NBA Play-In Tournament. Fox is one of the most gifted scorers in the league and will provide a jolt to a middling San Antonio offense. Fox is averaging 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season.
Fox comes to a Spurs team which is not devoid of talent. Veteran Point Guard Chris Paul will ensure that Fox and Wembanyama get off on the right foot when playing with one another. Rookie Guard Stephon Castle has had a strong rookie campaign. Devin Vassell has also been a solid piece for the Spurs this season.

San Antonio begins a five-game road trip tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. While Fox is not expected to suit up tonight, he should make his debut with the team at some point during the road trip. The star point guard, alongside Wembanyama, will look to guide the San Antonio Spurs to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.
The Spurs have one of the league’s brightest futures and Fox got his wish to play for a franchise known for postseason success.
