Quinshon Judkins, the rookie running back for the Cleveland Browns, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a misdemeanor charge of abuse and domestic violence. According to reports, a battery allegation that happened last Monday but wasn’t recorded until Saturday was the subject of the event.
Following his first court appearance, Judkins’ bail was $2,500, with the judge directing him to avoid guns and to have no communication with the accuser. The NFL acknowledged the issue but declined to provide further details, while the Browns stated that they are aware of the incident and are gathering additional information.
Quinshon Judkins Legal Description
The phrase “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence” was used to characterize the incident. According to the claimed victim, she first put off reporting the assault because of Judkins’ recent success. Still, after speaking with friends and family, she ultimately decided to call the police. He has not yet signed his rookie contract.
The Browns selected him with the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. According to ESPN, his attorney has said that they think the state is “overstating the facts” and that the woman might have been “encouraged to take advantage of” Judkins. On Friday, the Browns‘ rookies are expected to report to training camp.
Details Of Incident
According to the investigation, after reading texts from his family upon his arrival in Florida, Judkins became irritated. He and the accused victim flew there jointly. According to the claimed victim, the rookie running back said, “Oh wow, I can’t believe you” and “I’m so done with you.” According to the police report, she stated that Judkins hit her in the mouth as they were leaving the airport while she was attempting to clarify that the texts were false.
He once pulled over the car so the woman could phone his mother without bringing up the incident. According to the police, she returned to the vehicle but remained seated in the backseat, and the altercation continued. She informed authorities that Judkins once turned and hit her again in the arm and leg while he was driving.
Conclusion
The Cleveland Browns acknowledged the matter and said they are investigating. With training camp starting soon and Judkins still being unsigned, it adds a difficult layer to all of this. Along with 29 other second-round picks, they have not signed contracts. With Judkins’ current legal issues, he may miss valuable training camp time. Additionally, he misses out on valuable monetary benefits.
