Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are coming off a loss to the Chicago Bears last week, 24-22. Jordan Love was banged up in the game and had to leave early. When he was in the game, love completed 7 of 12 passes for 69 yards. Even though he only played the first half, Josh Jacobs had a solid game. Jacobs had 6 carries for 44 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Christian Waston suffered a torn ACL in the loss which is a big loss for a team that has a young receiving core. They are going against one of the best defenses in the NFL. We saw them in week one play this Eagles team tough, can they play them tight again?

This Packers defense has been really good all season long. They are ranked 6th in points allowed per game, 13th in passing yards allowed per game, 7th in rushing yards allowed per game, 9th in offensive touchdowns allowed, 8th in sacks, and 4th in takeaways per game. Regarding injuries, Jordan Love, Andre Dillard, Edgerrin Cooper, Quay Walker, and Javon Bullard are listed as questionable entering this game. Without Watson and Jaire Alexander being placed on IR two weeks ago, it will be an uphill battle this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a win last week against the New York Giants, 20-13. Jalen Hurts missed his second straight game with a concussion. Tanner McKee was good in his stead with 269 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Jahan Dotson led the team in catches and yards in this game with 7 catches for 94 yards.

This game meant nothing to the Eagles because they were already locked into the two-seed. Other starters rested as well in this game, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, etc. With the return of Hurts for the playoffs, this team is primed to make another run at an NFC title.

The Eagles’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL. For the season, they are ranked 2nd in points allowed per game, 1st in passing yards allowed per game, 10th in rushing yards allowed per game, 3rd in offensive touchdowns allowed, 13th in sacks, and 6th in takeaways per game. This team has a couple of key players on the injury report. AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts are listed as questionable for this game. Those two superstars will play and Hurts could be rusty with this being his first game in a month. Top to bottom, this is one of the most talented teams in the NFL.

Prediction

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to defeat the Green Bay Packers and cover the 4.5-point spread in this game. For as close as their first matchup was, this is a bad matchup for the Packers at this point in the season. Green Bay has no one on their roster who can keep pace with AJ Brown and we saw him so berzerk in their first game. The second Christian Waston got injured, which dropped their chances of winning this game substantially. This game could get ugly and it could get ugly fast. Jordan Love is banged up as well which isn’t great at all. Philly soars over the Packers and advances.

Final Pick

Philadelphia Eagles -4.5 (-110)
