The PAC death investigation is still active after a police incident report surfaced with new details about how the former AEW and WWE wrestler was found dead last month, according to Yahoo Sports. Ben Satterley, who wrestled as PAC and Neville, was 40 when he was found unresponsive in a rental car on Sept. 27, and the cause of death remains pending additional testing.

What The Police Report Shows

Satterley’s body was discovered around 4 p.m. in a rental car parked outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, according to the Yahoo Sports and New York Post reports. He had wrestled at AEW‘s All Out pay-per-view at Chicago’s NOW Arena less than 24 hours earlier, Yahoo Sports reported.

Police said Satterley’s phone had Google Maps open and routing him toward O’Hare International Airport at the time he was found, according to the incident report cited by the New York Post and Wrestling Observer. His flight back to the United Kingdom had been delayed, with a new departure time of roughly 1530 hours, those outlets reported.

Investigators also found a woman’s contact saved on his phone. When officers called her, she told them she had last spoken with Satterley around 1:20 p.m., when he said he was heading to CAVA for lunch, according to the police report detailed by Yahoo Sports and the New York Post.

What Police Observed At The Scene

Officers noted saliva and medication on Satterley’s shirt when he was found, though the type of medication was redacted in the report, according to the New York Post. A search of his pockets and backpack turned up no notable findings, Yahoo Sports reported.

The report also stated there were no obviously suspicious marks on his body and nothing suspicious inside the vehicle, according to both outlets. The incident report was obtained by California Post and made public in early October, Yahoo Sports reported.

Status Of The Autopsy

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office conducted an initial autopsy, but the official cause of death has not been determined and remains pending additional testing, according to Yahoo Sports and the New York Post. Satterley had been traveling for wrestling work around the United States for three weeks before his death and had been in the Chicago area since late the previous week, those reports said.

Tributes From The Wrestling World

AEW dedicated an entire episode of “Dynamite” to Satterley’s life and legacy, while WWE displayed a graphic before “Raw” and posted an obituary on social media, according to Yahoo Sports. Other promotions, including TNA, also paid tribute to him on their broadcasts.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed Satterley’s death publicly, saying, “As global as professional wrestling is, we’re still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really, it really f***ing hurts,” according to Yahoo Sports.

What’s Next

No official cause of death has been released as testing continues. Additional findings from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office are expected to determine the final ruling, though no timeline has been given publicly.
