Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Forward Jalen Williams made history in last night’s 146-132 road victory against the San Antonio Spurs. Gilgeous-Alexander had 31 points and 8 assists last night. Williams had 41 points and 7 assists. This dynamic duo accounted for 105 of OKC’s 146 points.
It was a historic performance as no other NBA teammate duo in the last 40 years has accounted for that many points in a game while having 0 turnovers. Gilgeous-Alexander is putting together another MVP-caliber campaign. He is leading the league in points per game and 15th in assists. Williams has also been an asset for the squad this season. He is top 40 in the league in points per game and assists. Will Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams be able to help the Oklahoma City Thunder maintain their progress?

It has been a great regular season for the Thunder. They are 49-11 and have the second-best record in the NBA. They are only a game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the league’s best record. OKC’s offense has been tremendous. They are fourth in points per game, eighth in field goal percentage, and 12th in three-point percentage.
OKC’s defense has also been great. They are second in points allowed, leading the league in opposing field goal percentage, and leading the league in opposing three-point percentage. The Thunder are also the best team in the league at turning over the opposition.
Final Thoughts
Oklahoma City returns to the court this evening for the second half of a back-to-back at home against the Houston Rockets. Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams will look to continue making history as the Thunder eye a deep playoff run in a loaded Western Conference.
