An original 1967 expansion club transformed by Mario Lemieux’s arrival in 1984 and later Sidney Crosby’s in 2005, winning five Stanley Cups across two eras (1991-92 and a run of three titles from 2009-2017) and anchoring one of the sport’s signature ownership-and-franchise revivals.
