New England Patriots Quarterback Drake Maye is excited about how new Head Coach Mike Vrabel is handling his first few months on the job. Here is what Maye had to say about his experience under Vrabel this offseason: “Just intensity. Bringing it everyday. Leaving your ego at the door and then from there bring [the intensity] onto the field. Finishing through the whistle. Doing the little things right.” Will Vrabel’s style help the New England Patriots recapture past glory?
New England Patriots Season Outlook
Following a failed one-year experiment with Jerod Mayo, the New England Patriots turned to Mike Vrabel. Vrabel is a proven commodity who experienced success during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans. The culture in New England during Mayo’s lone season was not good. The low point was calling his team “soft“ during a loss in October. The first year of the post-Bill Belichick era was not a fruitful one.
New England will look to turn the page in 2025 with Vrabel at the helm. If Maye’s comments are to be believed, the Patriots will turn heads this season. Maye saw his skill position players be massively upgraded this offseason. The New England Patriots signed veteran Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs and drafted standout Ohio State Running Back TreVeyon Henderson. Vrabel, a great defensive mind, should ensure the defense is a solid unit as well.
Final Thoughts
Maye is far from the only person with high hopes for the New England Patriots in 2025. The oddsmakers have New England with nearly even odds to make the NFL Playoffs. Vrabel will look to help the historic franchise get back on track.
