Las Vegas Raiders-Running Back Raheem Mostert Agree On 1-Year Deal

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders and Running Back Raheem Mostert agreed to a 1-year $2.1 million contract on Thursday. Mostert had the best season of his career with a league-leading 21 touchdowns in 2023 with the Miami Dolphins, but his 2024 season with the Dolphins did not go as well. He had 85 carries for 278 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Mostert is coming over to a Vegas team that has Offensive Coordinator Chip Kelly. He and Mostert were together in San Francisco when Kelly was the head coach in 2016 and when Kelly was the Eagles OC in 2015. Will Mostert be able to have a better season in 2025 with the Las Vegas Raiders?

Las Vegas Raiders Offseason Outlook

It is a new day for the Raiders. They hired Super-Bowl winning Head Coach Pete Carroll and made a blockbuster trade for Quarterback Geno Smith. The team’s other marquee signings were Guard Alex Cappa and Safety Jeremy Chinn. Las Vegas also signed Defensive End Maxx Crosby to a record-breaking contract extension.

Mostert joins a Raiders offense that has some talent. The offense will led by Tight End Brock Bowers coming off a historic rookie campaign. Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers had a career season as well in 2024. Smith is coming to a Raiders team getting back on the road toward success.

Final Thoughts

It will be an uphill battle for the Las Vegas Raiders to compete in the AFC West, but their moves this offseason have improved the team dramatically. Carroll will look to instill a winning culture that struggled in recent years.
