April 23, 2026; Pittsburgh — Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion is selected by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 24 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft at Acrisure Stadium.

KC Concepcion has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and will play for the Cleveland Browns against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The rookie wide receiver was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday after taking a hit from New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in Week 5.

What The Team Said

Concepcion was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday and is cleared to play against Baltimore.

The injury occurred during Cleveland’s Week 5 matchup with the Jets when Fitzpatrick hit Concepcion on a play that drew a flag for unnecessary roughness. The NFL later fined Fitzpatrick for the hit, per Bleacher Report.

Fitzpatrick addressed the play publicly, saying, “It was a football play, in my opinion. Obviously, we don’t like to see anybody get hurt. I’m happy to see that he’s back out practicing this week. But in my opinion, it was a football play, a bang-bang play as their coach put it.”

Browns head coach Todd Monken offered a similar read on the hit, saying, “That’s just a bang-bang play. Minkah has been in this league a long time. He’s not a dirty player.

I’ve never seen that out of him. It’s a bang-bang play, and unfortunately it happened to our guy, and that’s part of the league.”

Season Context

Concepcion, 22, was Cleveland’s first-round pick at No. 24 overall in the 2026 NFL draft. Through his first five games with the Browns, he caught 18 passes for 149 yards before the Week 5 injury interrupted his rookie season.

What’s Next

Concepcion and the Browns face the Ravens on Sunday, with Baltimore starting Tyler Huntley at quarterback after ruling out Lamar Jackson.
