Illinois quarterback Katin Houser broke his left hand during the Fighting Illini’s 38-37 overtime win over Michigan State on Saturday and will miss “significant time,” coach Bret Bielema said.
Houser got hurt late in the third quarter while trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception. He stayed in the game briefly before giving way to freshman Michael Clayton, who led Illinois through the rest of the comeback win, according to CBS Sports.
