Justin Allgaier Is On Fire Heading Towards The Dash 4 Cash

Justin Allgaier is on a heater, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Last weekend at Bristol, the JR Motorsports veteran didn’t win the race; that honor went to his teammate Connor Zilisch. However, Justin Allgaier still walked away $100,000 richer after finishing fourth, the highest among the four eligible Dash 4 Cash drivers.

That was his eighth Dash 4 Cash bonus in 24 tries, the most all-time in program history. Now he’s back at Kansas Speedway looking to make it two in a row. He’s always been dangerous on mile‑and‑a‑halfs, and Kansas fits his style perfectly. Another strong run here would only tighten his grip on the Dash 4 Cash record.

The Dash 4 Cash Format

The format is simple. Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 features a four-driver shootout within the race. The highest finisher among Allgaier, Sheldon Creed, Carson Kvapil, and Brent Crews takes home the $100,000 prize.

And here’s the kicker: none of the other three have ever won a Dash 4 Cash bonus. Experience matters in these moments, and nobody has more of it than the 36-year-old Illinois native. That kind of edge becomes a real advantage when six figures are on the line.

Justin Allgaier’s History Of Dominance At Kansas

Allgaier has been quietly dominant at Kansas over the last few years. In 16 starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval, he’s racked up nine top 10s and a career-best runner-up finish in 2022. “We just need to go out and execute, and I feel like we will be in a great position at the end,” Allgaier said this week.

His crew chief, Andrew Overstreet, and the No. 7 Brandt Professional Agriculture team have been firing on all cylinders all season long, and they’re eyeing not just the bonus but the win itself. They know they’ve got a car capable of winning anywhere, and Kansas is no exception

Toyota’s Recent Kansas Reign

But here’s the problem: Toyota has owned this place recently. Toyota drivers have won seven of the last eight O’Reilly Series races at Kansas, including the last three straight. Brandon Jones won from the pole last year, and he’s a three-time winner in that eight-race span.

JRM has won six of the last seven races overall, and the organization has placed at least one car in the top 10 in 66 consecutive races, second only to RFK’s inactive streak of 79. That kind of momentum is hard to ignore.

What’s Next

The stakes are high. The money is real. And Justin Allgaier has a chance to do something special Saturday night. I wouldn’t bet against him. He’s been in too many pressure moments to shrink from another one now. Nights like this are exactly where veterans earn their reputation.
