With the win, James Madison improved to 4-5, while the University of Albany dropped to 0-5. Guerrero was 3-of-4 with a home run and 2 RBI. The game was a scoreless tie in the fourth inning. James Madison scored four runs in that inning. First, Guerrero singled and got the first run batted in of the day. Cameron Aycock, a freshman, and senior Wyatt Campbell both singled and drove in runs. The Dukes were not done. Finally, there was a squeeze bunt by junior Ben Barrow. When it was all said and done, it was 4-0 James Madison.

In the fifth inning, Guerrero hit his home run. That made the score of the game 5-0, and it was highly unlikely that the University of Albany would be able to come back. In the seventh inning, the Great Danes scored another run to make it 5-3. Second Baseman Victor Maggio singled in a run. At this point, freshman Luke Alexander was pitching for the Dukes. Although he got the win in the game, he was clearly getting tired.
