The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with RJ Harvey. Harvey was selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. His contract with the Broncos is worth $ 7.36 million, which includes a signing bonus of $1.9 million, according to Mike Klis of 9News. It will be interesting to see what Harvey can bring to the Broncos, as he’ll likely be sharing reps with JK Dobbins, who agreed to a one-year contract with the team in June.
RJ Harvey Will Have a Chance To Shine
Harvey is walking into a great situation in Denver. Dobbins is a running back who can help mentor him, while also creating a solid running back duo for the Broncos. Dobbins has dealt with multiple injuries throughout his career, so signing in Denver could be a new start for him. Dobbins isn’t a bad option for Harvey to be paired with.
Dobbins had a career-high 905 rushing yards last season with the Los Angeles Chargers and tallied 9 touchdowns. He can still play. If both running backs can produce, Denver could produce an underrated running back core going into next season.
What the Broncos Hope To Accomplish This Season
Denver was the surprise team of last year’s playoffs. Quarterback Bo Nix had a rookie campaign that exceeded everyone’s expectations. The expectations for RJ Harvey going in are going to be high because the franchise just came off a postseason loss in the Wild Card round.
RJ Harvey is said to have impressed many people in the organization over the summer, and the higher-ups in the organization have faith in him. The workload won’t all be on him, but this is a team that wants to get back to the playoffs. Harvey will be expected to perform in his rookie season. He’ll have Dobbins by his side.
