The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, running their record to 5-0 behind a 128-yard, two-touchdown performance from Kenneth Walker III. The Chargers fell to 0-6 and have yet to win this season.

Kansas City built a 19-3 halftime lead and never let the Chargers get closer than 13 points. Walker’s 33-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a short scoring plunge in the second put the game out of reach early, while Los Angeles managed only three field goals from Cameron Dicker and no offensive touchdowns. Justin Herbert finished 22 of 37 for 204 yards passing with an interception and was sacked four times behind a Chargers offensive line that gave up 18 yards in losses.

Key Moments And How It Was Won

Kansas City scored on three of its first four possessions. Harrison Butker opened the scoring with a 44-yard field goal at the 11:20 mark of the first quarter, and Walker broke off his 33-yard touchdown run less than four minutes later to make it 9-0. Dicker answered with a 23-yard field goal late in the first, but the Chiefs responded in the second quarter with Walker’s 2-yard touchdown run and a 50-yard Butker field goal as time expired in the half, pushing the lead to 19-3.

The Chargers’ only third-quarter scoring came on Dicker’s 30-yard field goal, cutting the margin to 19-6. Kansas City closed the scoring with a 30-yard Butker field goal early in the fourth quarter, finishing a game in which the Chiefs outgained the Chargers 422 yards to 259 and averaged 7.4 yards per play to Los Angeles’ 4.1.
