Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle have spent years making their marks in NASCAR, but their latest recognition has little to do with trophies, championship points, or Sunday afternoon results. Instead, the two drivers are being recognized for their work outside the racing world.
Comcast announced Oct. 27 that Busch and Biffle would share the 2026 Comcast Community Champion of the Year award, marking the first time the honor has gone to two recipients. Their paths to this recognition look very different, yet both have used their resources and public profiles to help people facing circumstances far removed from the racetrack.
Two Drivers, Two Missions Beyond NASCAR
For Busch, the work begins with a challenge he and his wife, Samantha, experienced personally. Their journey through infertility inspired the creation of the Bundle of Joy Fund, an organization dedicated to helping other families pursue fertility treatment. What started as a deeply personal experience has grown into a source of assistance for couples who might otherwise struggle to afford treatment.
The fund also brings attention to infertility, giving families opportunities to find support while navigating a subject that can be difficult to discuss. Its impact extends well beyond awareness. The Bundle of Joy Fund has distributed more than $2.5 million in fertility grants to nearly 200 families, helping bring 114 babies into the world.
Those figures represent more than financial assistance. Fertility treatment can place considerable pressure on families already dealing with an emotionally demanding process. By helping cover treatment costs, Busch and Samantha have given other couples additional opportunities to pursue parenthood.
For a driver whose professional life revolves around competition, this work offers a different way to make an impact. The focus is not on winning a race, but on helping families move toward a future they have been working to build.
Greg Biffle’s Response When Communities Needed Help
Biffle’s contribution to the community became especially visible during the destruction Hurricane Helene caused across parts of the Southeast. Rather than limiting his involvement to financial contributions, Biffle put his personal helicopter to work for 14 consecutive days. He used it to reach affected areas, support rescue operations, and assist residents stranded by the disaster.
The response demonstrated how personal resources can become essential tools when communities face an emergency. When access and transportation pose serious obstacles, getting assistance to the right place can make an enormous difference. Biffle’s commitment to helping others also continues through the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund.
Working with Foundation For The Carolinas, the organization supports communities and charitable causes that reflect the values Greg and Cristina Biffle wanted to carry forward. The fund lets that commitment continue beyond a single emergency, connecting their legacy with efforts designed to help people over time.
Comcast Commits $120,000 To The Two Organizations
The 2026 award brings financial support to both causes, with Comcast contributing $120,000 in total. The Bundle of Joy Fund will receive $60,000, while the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund will receive the other $60,000.Since the Comcast Community Champion program began in 2015, it has directed more than $1 million toward nonprofit organizations connected to the NASCAR community.
Matt Lederer, Comcast’s vice president of brand partnerships and engagement, explained why the drivers were selected. Kyle and Greg represented what this award stands for, using their platforms to make a difference well beyond the sport,” Lederer said.
Recognizing Busch and Biffle together reflects the different ways members of the racing community can contribute. One organization helps families navigate fertility treatment; the other continues a commitment to community assistance and service. Both give the award a purpose that extends beyond the announcement itself.
What This Means
For Busch and Biffle, the recognition highlights work that developed independently of their NASCAR careers. Their track accomplishments may have introduced them to millions of fans, but their charitable efforts have created opportunities to reach people in very different circumstances who need assistance. The funding also provides tangible support for organizations already working toward those goals.
Whether it helps a family pursue fertility treatment or strengthens community-focused initiatives, the money gives both organizations additional resources to continue their missions. The award also details the broader role drivers can play by using their influence to support causes that matter to them.
What’s Next
The next chapter for both recipients will be defined by the work their organizations continue to do. The Bundle of Joy Fund will continue helping families facing infertility, while the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund will keep supporting communities and charitable initiatives.
Neither mission depends on a race result, and neither ends when the NASCAR season concludes. Busch and Biffle earned this honor through different experiences, but their shared recognition connects them through a common purpose. Their 2026 Comcast Community Champion award celebrates their contributions beyond competition and the people who will benefit from those efforts in the years ahead.
