St. Louis (1-1-0) was playing the second game of a back-to-back. The Blues had beaten Dallas 4-0 on Friday, as our recap of that opener covered.

Cale Makar opened the scoring at 4:09 of the first period, with MacKinnon setting him up. Necas made it 2-0 at 13:12, again with an assist from MacKinnon.

The second period decided it. Colorado scored four times, with goals from Josh Manson, Artturi Lehkonen and Nicolas Roy before Necas finished the burst. Roy scored at 18:02, and Necas scored again just 23 seconds later at 18:25, with Gabriel Landeskog setting him up.

That left Colorado ahead 6-0 heading to the third period.

Goaltending and the lone Blues goal
