Baltimore Ravens center Gwyn sidelined 2-3 months with fractured fibula

Baltimore Ravens starting center Jovaughn Gwyn suffered a fractured fibula during the Ravens’ 34-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday and is expected to miss two to three months, likely requiring surgery, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Roster scramble at center for the Baltimore Ravens

With Pocic also dealing with a knee injury and Danny Pinter sidelined for the season after a knee injury in August, the Ravens lack depth at center. Rookie first-round pick Olaivavega Ioane is preparing to make his first start at center for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Ioane has started the first three games at right guard after being selected 14th overall in April’s draft.

The Ravens worked out centers Graham Glasgow and Kingsley Eguakun along with guard Kyle Hergel on Tuesday, exploring options for additional depth along the offensive line.

Continued fallout from Linderbaum departure

Gwyn’s injury is the latest blow to Baltimore’s center position after three-time Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum departed in March. Linderbaum signed a three-year, $81 million contract with Las Vegas, becoming the NFL‘s highest-paid center. Pinter appeared headed to win the starting job before his season-ending knee injury in August.

Ioane steps in

Ioane moves from right guard to center after limited snaps at the position during his junior season at Penn State. Andrew Vorhees, the Ravens’ starting left guard in 2025, shifts to right guard in the shuffle. Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday he remained optimistic about left tackle Ronnie Stanley’s status after a toe injury, though his availability for Sunday remains uncertain.
