The Atlanta Braves have played terrifically over the last month. They became only the fifth team in league history to move above .500(23-22) after losing 7+ consecutive games to begin a season. A 4-2 win against the Boston Red Sox helped the Braves make history. Atlanta joined the 2008 Detroit Tigers, 1983 Houston Astros, 1980 Atlanta Braves, and 1945 Boston Red Sox exclusive list.
This turnaround was so shocking because the Braves began the year 5-13 after starting the year 0-7. Following such a poor start, the Atlanta Braves have looked like a different team over the last month. Will the Braves be able to keep stacking up wins?

Atlanta’s improved play has them in third place in the National League East. Atlanta’s offense has been middling in 2025. They are 18th in batting average, 16th in home runs, and 21st in runs scored. No Braves player has stood out at the plate in 2025.
Atlanta’s pitching staff has been the stronger part of the ballclub in 2025. They are 10th in the league in ERA, eighth in opposing batting average, and 10th in WHIP. Reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Chris Sale is tied for fourth in the league in strikeouts.
Final Thoughts
The Atlanta Braves return to the diamond tonight for the middle game of their three-game set with the Boston Red Sox. If the Braves can continue playing this well, they can be a threat in the National League and live up to their potential.
