The Aggies won last season’s meeting 45-42 in Fayetteville. Arkansas’ last victory in the series came in 2021.
The rivalry spent 16 years at AT&T Stadium in Arlington before moving to campus sites. Saturday will be the first meeting at Kyle Field since 2020.
Arkansas outlook
The Razorbacks beat North Alabama 31-14 to open the season, then lost 43-10 at Utah and 45-17 to Georgia. They bounced back with a 34-6 win over Tulsa on Sept. 26.
Quarterback K.J. Jackson threw for a career-high 309 yards on 24-of-36 passing against Tulsa. He has 927 passing yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions this season.
Receiver Chris Marshall, a former Texas A&M player, caught nine passes for 195 yards against Tulsa. He leads Arkansas with 28 catches for 473 yards. Running back Braylen Russell has 96 yards on 33 carries.
Texas A&M outlook
The Aggies opened with a 50-0 win over Missouri State and a 48-20 win over Arizona State. They then lost 31-21 to Kentucky and 35-6 to LSU.
Quarterback Marcel Reed completed 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards and an interception against LSU, the lowest completion rate of his career at 38.5%. Texas A&M managed 197 total yards. Coach Mike Elko said after the game that the problems went well beyond one player, according to CBS Sports.
Reed has 738 passing yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions. Running back Rueben Owens II leads the ground game with 248 yards on 56 carries.
Arkansas vs Texas A&M key matchup
Arkansas’ offense produced 441 yards against Tulsa. Texas A&M’s offense had less than half that against LSU.
The Aggies’ defense, which has allowed opponents to convert 25.6% of third downs, ranks among the best in the country in that category. The Razorbacks will need Jackson to stay efficient to keep drives alive.

In Arkansas vs Texas A&M, the Aggies are averaging 31.3 points per game, while the Razorbacks are averaging 23.0. A third straight loss would deepen questions about the Aggies’ offense.
Arkansas is chasing its first win over Texas A&M since 2021 and its first SEC victory of the season. The Razorbacks return home to face Tennessee on Oct. 10.
