Texas A&M vs South Carolina Week 10 brings the Aggies to Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, with a road losing streak and a coaching hot seat both on the line. Texas A&M (4-4) has not won a Southeastern Conference road game this season, while No. 21 South Carolina (5-3) enters off three straight wins despite a rocky conference stretch that has fueled questions about coach Shane Beamer’s job security, according to Sports Illustrated.

Kickoff in Columbia, South Carolina is set for 3 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ESPN. Texas A&M is coming off a bye week after a 31-20 loss at No. 10 Alabama on Oct. 24, a game the Aggies led entering the fourth quarter, according to USA Today. For related coverage, see Total Apex Sports’ breakdown of Mike Elko’s recent comments about the program.

Texas A&M Outlook

Texas A&M arrives off its bye week carrying a four-game record built on uneven results. The Aggies dropped four of their first five conference games this season, a stretch that includes the Alabama loss and a setback at Missouri, a game Total Apex Sports covered in its recap of Missouri’s win over the Aggies.

Quarterback Marcel Reed has thrown for 1,390 yards and eight touchdowns against eight interceptions on the season, completing 126 of 222 attempts. Running back KJ Edwards has carried the load on the ground with 360 yards and two scores on 55 carries, while Isaiah Horton leads the receiving corps with 314 yards and three touchdowns on 23 catches. Texas A&M’s plus-4 turnover margin stands out as a team strength, even as its 155.4 rushing yards per game trail South Carolina’s 217.5.

The bigger issue remains location. Texas A&M has not won a road conference game this season, and a win Saturday would be the program’s first true road victory of the year.

South Carolina Outlook

South Carolina has won three straight, beating Florida 38-19, Tennessee 27-24 and Oklahoma 42-25 after a rough stretch that included a 49-18 loss at Alabama and a 35-34 overtime defeat to Kentucky. The Gamecocks’ 36.9 points per game and 464.1 total yards per game both outpace the Aggies’ marks. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers has been the engine of that turnaround, leading the team both through the air and on the ground.

Sellers has completed 152 of 243 passes for 1,849 yards and 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions, while also rushing for 603 yards and six scores on 98 carries. Mazeo Bennett Jr. paces the receiving group with 431 yards and four touchdowns on 35 receptions.

Key Matchup

South Carolina’s dual-threat quarterback against Texas A&M’s defense sets up as the deciding factor. Sellers has already produced 603 rushing yards this season, a total that shows up on A&M’s side of the ledger in painful fashion: two years ago in Columbia, Sellers and Raheim Sanders combined for 250 rushing yards in a 44-20 South Carolina win, according to Sports Illustrated.

Texas A&M’s defense has posted just seven sacks on the season, a number that will be tested against a quarterback who extends plays with his legs as often as his arm. South Carolina’s offense averages 217.5 rushing yards per game, and containing Sellers without opening lanes for the rest of the rushing attack will decide whether the Aggies can finally win away from Kyle Field.

Marcel Reed, Quarterback, Texas A&M

Reed has thrown for 1,390 yards this season but has also been intercepted eight times against eight touchdown passes. His ability to protect the ball on the road will matter against a South Carolina defense playing with confidence after three straight wins.

LaNorris Sellers, Quarterback, South Carolina

Sellers leads South Carolina in both passing and rushing, with 1,849 passing yards and 603 rushing yards. His dual production has carried the Gamecocks through their recent winning streak.

What To Watch

History weighs heavily on this matchup. Texas A&M leads the all-time series 10-2, but the Aggies’ last two trips to Williams-Brice Stadium have ended in losses, including the 44-20 defeat two years ago that also cost A&M running back Le’Veon Moss to a leg injury, and a 30-24 loss the year before that marked South Carolina’s first win over Texas A&M in the series despite touchdowns from Haynes King and De’Von Achane.

A Texas A&M win would snap that recent trend and deliver the program’s first road victory of the season. For South Carolina, another win would extend its three-game streak and add to the pressure already surrounding questions about Beamer’s future. Texas A&M’s broader season struggles were detailed in Total Apex Sports’ look at programs regressing in 2026, while the Aggies’ earlier matchup this season against Arkansas is covered in Total Apex Sports’ preview of that game.
