Myers added a 35-yard field goal early in the third quarter to push the lead to 13-0. Top Performers

Darnold completed 20 of 28 passes for 257 yards with a touchdown and an interception, posting a 96.9 passer rating. Wilson carried 24 times for 100 yards and the clinching touchdown, while Smith-Njigba’s 150-yard, nine-catch performance paced all receivers.

Mahomes threw for 165 yards on 19 of 33 passing with an interception. Kenneth Walker III led Kansas City’s ground game with 36 yards on 14 carries, and Nohl Williams intercepted Darnold for the Chiefs’ lone takeaway, returning it 65 yards. What It Means

Seattle improved to 4-3 and sits second in the NFC West behind San Francisco, which is 6-1. Kansas City fell to 5-1 but remains atop the AFC West, one game ahead of Denver at 5-2. The loss was the Chiefs’ first of the season and snapped a stretch in which their offense had avoided being shut out of the end zone until Sunday.

The Seahawks defense held Kansas City scoreless in red zone attempts, a factor that limited the Chiefs to Butker’s long field goal as its only points.

What’s Next

The Seahawks and Chiefs both return to action next week, with Seattle looking to build on its division positioning behind the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City aiming to shore up its lead atop the AFC West following its first loss of the season. https://totalapexsports.com/kenneth-walker-seahawks-return/”>Chiefs vs Seahawks preview

Kansas City will also continue monitoring its offensive line situation after placing left tackle Josh Simmons on injured reserve earlier this month, along with defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott’s absence from the lineup.
