The Philadelphia Flyers recalled defenseman Oliver Bonk from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and placed forward Travis Konecny on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 8 with a lower-body injury, the team announced Sunday.
The Terms Of The Oliver Bonk Flyers Recall
Bonk joins the Flyers from their American Hockey League affiliate to fill a roster spot as Konecny goes to injured reserve.
What It Means For The Flyers
Philadelphia sits 0-4-2 overall and 0-1-2 in Metropolitan Division play. Losing Konecny removes a forward from a lineup searching for its first win.
Defenseman Cam York is day to day with an upper-body injury and defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen is out with an upper-body injury. Forward Nikita Grebenkin is also out with an upper-body injury.
What’s Next
The Flyers host the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET. No timeline for Konecny’s return has been announced.
