Bouchard struck again at 14:12 with his NHL-leading sixth goal of the season, putting Edmonton ahead 3-2. Vasily Podkolzin extended the lead to 4-2 at 16:49 on a breakaway set up by a stretch pass from Draisaitl, and Connor McDavid capped the five-goal period during 4-on-4 play with 52 seconds remaining to make it 5-2. Anaheim pulled Husso late for a 6-on-3 attack but could not get another puck past Levi.

Bouchard finished with two goals and an assist for three points, and Draisaitl collected four assists without a goal. McDavid added a goal and two assists. Levi stopped 29 of 31 shots for Edmonton.
Sennecke led Anaheim with two goals, and Carlsson had two assists. Dostal allowed five goals on 17 shots in just under 40 minutes before Husso took over and made two saves in relief.
