Nuggets Outlook

Denver has won three of its last five games but dropped its most recent outing 118-110 to Portland on Nov. 3, a result detailed in Total Apex Sports’ recap of that loss. The Nuggets bounced back two days later with a 128-109 win over Toronto. Denver ranks second in the Northwest at 4-3 and is shooting 49.0% from the field with a scoring efficiency mark of 1.393, both ahead of Indiana’s figures.

Nikola Jokic leads the roster averaging 9.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game, and his all-around production was central to his 200th career triple-double earlier this season. Jamal Murray tops the Nuggets in scoring at 25.4 points per game. Denver’s defense has forced 10.7 steals per contest, well above Indiana’s 7.8.

DeMar DeRozan is listed as day-to-day with back spasms, while Spencer Jones (hamstring) and Julian Strawther (knee sprain) are both out, leaving Denver’s wing rotation thinner than usual. The expected starting lineup projects to feature Murray, Jokic and the available backcourt pieces, with DeRozan’s status to be determined closer to tip-off.

Pacers Outlook

Indiana is 3-6 and sits 3.5 games back in the Central Division, but the Pacers arrive off their first win in five tries, a 107-103 decision at Memphis on Nov. 5. Pascal Siakam leads the team at 21.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, with Andrew Nembhard running the offense at 6.9 assists per game. Indiana’s offense has posted a 1.292 scoring efficiency mark this season, trailing Denver’s 1.393, and the Pacers have struggled to find consistency, dropping three of their prior four before the Memphis win.

The injury report is heavy for Indiana. Tyrese Haliburton remains out with a left hamstring strain and is not expected back until Nov. 13. T.J.

McConnell (hamstring) and Johnny Furphy (knee surgery) are also out, with Furphy not projected to return until Jan. 2, 2027. Ben Sheppard is out with a left knee issue on the same timeline, and Kelly Oubre Jr. is listed as day-to-day with a calf bruise. With that many backcourt pieces sidelined, Indiana’s projected starters are expected to lean heavily on Siakam and Nembhard to carry the offensive load.

Key Matchup

Jokic’s playmaking against a Pacers defense that already ranks near the bottom of its own rotation in available depth could decide the pace of this game. Indiana allows opponents strong looks when its turnover-forcing defense is not operating, and the Pacers are without three rotation guards in McConnell, Furphy and Sheppard. Denver’s 27.6 assists per game, built around Jokic’s distributing, gives the Nuggets an edge if Indiana cannot contain dribble penetration without Haliburton and McConnell available to pressure the ball. On the other end, Siakam’s interior scoring against a Denver frontcourt that has allowed physical forwards to find success will be a point of emphasis for the Pacers, who need his 21.2 points per game to keep pace with Denver’s 115.4 scoring average.

What To Watch

Both teams are looking to build on recent form in a one-off neutral site game that counts in the standings. Denver, fresh off its win over Toronto, aims to keep pace in a competitive Northwest Division where Portland and Oklahoma City currently sit ahead. Indiana is trying to string together wins for the first time this season after ending its skid in Memphis, all while missing Haliburton and three other guards. The series between these two teams starts with Saturday’s game, giving fans in Mexico City the first look at this matchup for the 2026-27 season.
