Milwaukee is the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 45-34. Their offense has been strong. They are 12th in points scored, fifth in field goal percentage, and second in three-point percentage. Antetokounmpo will have to carry a heavy burden this postseason with Point Guard Damian Lillard out indefinitely with a blood clot.
The team has also had a strong defense. They are 13th in points allowed, sixth in opposing field goal percentage, and seventh in opposing three-point percentage. Even though Lillard’s return is uncertain, Milwaukee got a key player back on Tuesday night. Bobby Portis returned after a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA’s anti-drug program. Milwaukee returns to the court Thursday at home against the lowly New Orleans Pelicans. The Bucks will then finish with back-to-games against the Detroit Pistons. With the teams only separated by two games in the standings, these matchups will be of the utmost importance.
