Los Angeles Clippers Continue Strong Play With 6th Straight Win

Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers extended their win streak to six games on Wednesday night with a 134-117 win over the Houston Rockets. Point Guard James Harden finished with 35 points and 10 rebounds and Center Ivica Zubac finished with the first triple-double of his career. He finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Harden is averaging 23.2 points and 9.3 assists over the winning streak. Zubac is averaging 19.7 points per game and 14 rebounds over that same stretch.

LA’s winning streak began against the Orlando Magic and continued against the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, and Rockets. Forward Kawhi Leonard has also found his form as of late. He is averaging 24.8 points in April after averaging 25.2 points in March. Will the Los Angeles Clippers be able to keep up their high level of play with the postseason coming up?

Los Angeles Clippers Season Summary

The team’s great stretch has seen them shooting up the Western Conference standings. They are currently the No. 5 seed after being in the NBA Play-In Tournament range for months. With the team’s so jumbled up, Los Angeles must not let up now. Otherwise, they can fall back into the play-in.

LA’s offense has been stellar. They are 20th in points scored, seventh in field goal percentage, and seventh in three-point percentage. The Los Angeles Clippers have been ever better on defense. They are fourth in points allowed, eighth in opposing field goal percentage, and fifth in opposing three-point percentage. With the way the Clippers are playing, no team will want to see them in the NBA Playoffs.

Final Thoughts

Los Angeles finishes the regular season with back-to-back games against the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. Sacramento is play-in bound while Golden State will be fighting for playoff seeding until the final day of the regular season.
