Miami Marlins Left Fielder Kyle Stowers capped off one of the best two-game stretches in league history last night at home against the Kansas City Royals. He is the first player in MLB history with 5 home runs in a 2-game span including a walk-off home run. He is the first player since Ty Cobb in 1920 to have 8 hits, 5 home runs, and 11 RBI over a two-game stretch.
Stowers’ hot streak began before the All-Star break against the Baltimore Orioles and continued last night against the Royals. His great season led to him being named to the National League All-Star team. The left fielder is ninth in the league in batting average, 14th in home runs, and seventh in OPS. Will he continue making history over the weekend?

Final Thoughts
Stowers and the Miami Marlins return to the diamond this afternoon for the middle game of their three-game set against the Kansas City Royals. The young left fielder will look to keep his dream season going.
