Four arrested in Keion White shooting at Super Bowl party

Four men have been arrested in the Keion White shooting investigation, with San Francisco police saying suspects confronted the 49ers lineman before firing.

Four arrested in Keion White shooting at Super Bowl party

Four men have been arrested in connection with the February shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White, according to FOX Sports. The arrests came over a one-week span and followed an investigation that relied on video footage and witness accounts.

White was shot in the ankle just after 4 a.m. on Feb. 9 at Dahlia, a nightclub in San Francisco’s Mission District where he was hosting a private Super Bowl party. He was taken to a local hospital for surgery.

What Happened The Night Of The Shooting

Multiple suspects armed with firearms “confronted” White on the night of the shooting, according to the report. San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew said the four arrests were made with assistance from law enforcement agencies in Atlanta, Stockton, Irvine and Los Angeles. Investigators built the case using video footage and witness accounts to identify those involved.

Curtis Green, 35, was arrested Oct. 7 in Irvine, California. Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House, California, was arrested two days later. Both men were booked into San Francisco County Jail on Monday and were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.

A 38-year-old man was arrested Oct. 7 in Atlanta on a no-bail warrant. Police seized an illegal firearm during that arrest, along with thousands of grams of MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl at his home. A 36-year-old man was also arrested Oct. 7 in Stockton, California, where officers recovered a loaded firearm, more than 100 oxycodone pills and $7,000 in cash.

Charges Filed So Far

Walker faces a charge of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, which prosecutors say he fired during the confrontation, along with additional charges for possessing a gun as a convicted felon. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said prosecutors would seek no bail for Walker, citing the public safety risk he poses.

Charges against Green, the man arrested in Atlanta and the man arrested in Stockton were not detailed. The two men arrested in other jurisdictions and not yet in custody will be charged once they are transferred to San Francisco, Jenkins said.

What Authorities Say Comes Next

Two additional men connected to the shooting have been arrested in other jurisdictions but are not yet in San Francisco custody. Authorities said those men will face charges once they are transferred to San Francisco.

Green and Walker’s court appearance Wednesday afternoon marks the next scheduled step in the case. White remains on the 49ers’ roster; it was defensive lineman Matt Judon who was released by the team earlier this month in a separate roster move.
