The Montreal Canadiens traded defenseman Jayden Struble to the Nashville Predators on Friday in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft. Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced the move on Friday.
The Jayden Struble trade closes out his tenure in Montreal after four seasons in which he appeared in 174 career NHL games. Struble recorded seven goals and 28 assists, with 167 penalty minutes and 14 playoff appearances.
Terms Of The Jayden Struble Trade
Montreal receives a 2027 second-round pick as the return for Struble. The pick was previously acquired by Nashville from the Vegas Golden Knights.
Struble’s Background With Montreal
Struble, a Cumberland, Rhode Island native, was Montreal’s second-round selection (46th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in 2023-24 and remained with the Canadiens through four seasons.
