The road to Omaha, aka the College World Series, begins with regional play at 16 host sites across the country! Defending champion Tennessee’s attempt at going back-to-back will be a tough one. After winning the SEC tournament, Vanderbilt is the number one overall seed and will be in a great position to host a super regional in this year’s CWS. Texas A&M, last year’s runner-up and preseason number 1, missed the 64-team tournament. The regional round is double elimination.

Final Thoughts

This year’s regionals have the chance to be one of the greatest ever, with plenty of room for potential upsets. The last four College World Series Championships featured SEC-only teams (Oklahoma in 2022, but is now in the SEC). With 13 of the 64 teams being from that conference, there is a chance we see it again.
