The Milwaukee Bucks launched Bucks+, a direct-to-consumer streaming service that brings all locally televised games to Wisconsin fans during the 2026-27 season. The subscription option debuts Monday, Oct. 5, when Milwaukee opens its five-game preseason slate against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Fiserv Forum at 7 p.m.

The move expands game access beyond traditional over-the-air broadcasts, giving fans flexibility to watch on any connected device throughout the season. “Bucks+ is an exciting way to broaden access to Bucks games for our fans throughout Wisconsin this season,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Josh Glessing in a statement.

How to subscribe and pricing

The service costs $19.99 per month or $99.99 for the full season, according to PC Gamer. Fans can subscribe through the NBA app or at bucks.com/bucksplus on any connected device.

All locally televised games will stream on the platform, making the service the primary destination for fans who want guaranteed access to the entire local broadcast schedule.

What’s available on local broadcasts

The service complements—rather than replaces—free, over-the-air broadcasts on MY24 in Milwaukee and regional affiliates across Wisconsin. Games also air on WBAY 2.3 in Green Bay, WISC 3.2 in Madison, WKBT 8.2 in La Crosse-Eau Claire, WJFW 12.2 in Wausau-Rhinelander, and a Duluth-Superior affiliate to be announced later.

Both the stream and the over-the-air broadcasts will carry the same games, giving fans multiple ways to tune in depending on their preference and device availability.

What it means for the Bucks’ media strategy

The launch reflects the NBA’s broader shift toward direct-to-consumer streaming as a way to capture local revenue and deepen fan engagement. By managing their own streaming service, the Bucks control pricing, programming and the fan experience without relying solely on traditional broadcasters or league-wide streaming partnerships.

The service gives the organization a direct relationship with subscribers, valuable data about viewing habits, and a new revenue stream from fans who might otherwise catch games only on free broadcasts or third-party platforms. The $99.99 full-season price also offers better value for committed fans than monthly subscriptions, encouraging season-long commitments.

What’s next

The service launches with the preseason opener Monday, Oct. 5. The regular season begins later in October, when the streaming service and over-the-air broadcasts will carry all locally televised games through the end of the season.
